Many of the boys who come to Crossroads Hope Academy have experienced more change, loss, and uncertainty than any child should face. By the time they arrive, many have endured multiple placements, disruptions in their education, strained family relationships, and the difficult reality of learning not to expect consistency from the adults around them.

Their experiences reflect broader challenges within the child welfare system. Nationally, nearly 329,000 children are in foster care, and research shows that almost 90% have experienced at least one form of trauma. Many have faced repeated moves between homes, schools, and caregivers, making it difficult to build trust, maintain relationships, and experience the stability every child deserves.

At Crossroads Hope Academy, we see far more than a child's circumstances. We see young men with potential, resilience, and the capacity to thrive when surrounded by safety, structure, encouragement, and consistent care. Our work begins by helping each boy feel seen, valued, and secure enough to trust again.

Through a nurturing residential environment, meaningful relationships, educational support, life-skills development, and opportunities for personal growth, we help young men build confidence, discover their strengths, and prepare for successful futures. Every day, we are privileged to walk alongside them as they heal, grow, and learn that their story is not defined by where they have been, but by the possibilities that lie ahead.

Crossroads Hope Academy has a long history of serving at-risk youth in Southwest Florida. After decades of work with young people through the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, Crossroads transitioned in 2013 into a full-time foster-care program dedicated to teen boys.

Today, Crossroads operates two campuses in Charlotte County, Florida: the Davidson Campus on Bermont Road and the Nix Campus near downtown Punta Gorda. Together, these homes allow us to serve more boys who need stability, guidance, and a place where they can begin building a better future.

Crossroads Hope Academy provides a safe, nurturing, and structured residential environment where teen boys in foster care can heal, grow, and build a foundation for future success. Our comprehensive program integrates daily care, educational support, life-skills training, mentoring, therapeutic services, and individualized guidance tailored to each young man's unique strengths and needs.

Through consistent support and meaningful relationships, we help young men develop confidence, strengthen social and independent-living skills, achieve academic goals, and prepare for a successful transition into adulthood. We also collaborate closely with families, caregivers, schools, child welfare professionals, volunteers, and community partners to ensure that every youth is surrounded by a strong network of encouragement, stability, and support.
